The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, has been shut to air traffic for a relatively brief period of time by the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency following the blockade of the runway by a Saudi Airline Cargo, which landed around 9pm yesterday evening. Shortly after landing the plane developed a minor problem and has remained on the runway.NAMA however issued a notice to Airmen this morning of a temporary closure of the airport. Efforts are being made to remove the faulty plane from the runway.
