I Love Fufu With Okro Soup—Tonto Dik
Tonto Dikeh is one actress that is full of controversies. Another thing that is very common to her apart from controversial issues is her American ascent. When she acts, especially as a spoilt brat in movies, the Ikwerre lady talks like the Americans, which also has brought about debates from her fans some of who think she over acts; while some see her as ‘fake’ because of her foreignascent, others commend her for ‘being versatile.’In all, Tonto Dikeh might be an actress that people feel does not behave like a typical Nigerian lady who will also not love to eat local delicacies, especially foods like ‘eba’, ‘fufu’ and the likes, which someregard as the food of the poor or local people in Nigeria. But alas!, controversial actress,Tonto has confessed that ‘fufu’is her best food and ironically, okro soup is what she likes to eat ‘fufu’ with, as against ‘egusi’ soup, which many people take with the delicacy.Speaking on a TV show last week, the former The Next Movie Star contestant disclosed that ‘fufu’ and okro soup are her favourite. If you think Tonto Dikeh is not strong, now you know that she eats ‘fufu’, the food bricklayers rely on for power just like breadand beans, which make one consume a lot of water.See photo after the cut:

Kerry Washington Covers Glamour Magazine - October 2013 Issue.
merican movie star Kerry Washington looks stunning in a Christian Dior orange dress on the cover of Glamour Magazine October2013 issue, beautifully photographed by Peggy Sirota. The Scandal star talks marriage, Scandal, and much more with the magazine. Read and watch video footage below.
n being tight lipped about her relationships:I learned through experience that it doesn’t work for me to talk about my personal life. I’ve had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it. I was on thecover of a bridal magazine [InStyle Weddings, in 2005, when Washington was engaged to actor David Moscow]. But I couldn’t just turn around and say, “I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff.” So I just thought, “OK, no more.”On managing to keep her wedding asecret:Absolutely! I’m walking around in the world with my ring. And when people say congratulations, I say thank you. But I’m going to continue to not talk about it and just let it unfold. On pulling of her wedding with no press:[Laughs.] I don’t want to sound smug about it…but the point is to do what’s best for me. I have girlfriends in this business who talk about their personal lives, and it works for them, and I love it. But not for me.
Doris Simeon - 'I have not given up on men'
On if she has been sexually harassed by producers and directors:What I will say is that I have the experience of people or producers toasting me, that is a normal thing. However, if you want to do, you agree and if you don’t want to do, you don’t. It is only the grace of God that sustains one.On some actresses who live flamboyant lifestyles which they cannot maintain and as such, they get married to any rich man who comes to them without getting to know him well:It all depends on how you were brought up and your choices in life. Some ladies prefer to suffer with the guy while some will not, except the man can providewhatever she wants. After you had been trained, you have to train yourself too. It all depends on how you decide to live your life and the kind of man you want. We are not equals; we are brought up from different homes, decide to discipline ourselves differently and want all the things we want differently. We all cannot have the same thing or everything that we always wanted; so it all depends on their choice and not that all celebrities want rich men. It depends on how you package yourself and present yourself. They say you will be addressed the way you are dressed. On the increase in the number of divorces among celebrities:One thing I will say about this is that, it isbecause we are public figures, that is why people say that it is only celebrities’ marriages that crash. There are a million and one people who are not celebrities and whose marriages too have crashed; but people don’t know about it.Like I said, ours is always talked about because we are public figuresbut it is what we have chosen in ourcareer and life; we don’t have a choice than to accept and embrace it that way and then live with it. So, it is not only about the celebrity thing. If everything is perfect, then itis not a life.On the article written by someone who claimed to be an insider, that Daniel left her because of her lacklustre performance in the bedroom:Is the person always in our bedroom when we are doing it? Does the person enter into my bedroom whenever we are doing it and as such do analysis of how we are doing it? If the person is bold enough, let the person come outside, show his or her face and tell me how they analysed it and in the public too. Since the person hasstarted the story, he or she should end it so that we can turn it into a film.
Africa’s Richest Man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote Seals N512b Loan Deal To Build Africa’s Biggest Refinery, Fertiliser Plants.
DANGOTE Industries Limited (DIL) Wednesday sealed a $3.3 billion (N512 billion) financing deal with 12 local and international banks, for the construction of the biggest petroleum oil refinery and petrochemical/fertiliser plants in the country.Yesterday’s signing ceremony has committed the first trancheof loans secured by Dangote, comprising a $3.3 billion medium-term loan facility supported by the consortium and GTBank as the local co-ordinator and Standard Chartered Bank as the global co-ordinator. The syndicated fund is part of the $9 billion (N1.4 trillion) total cost for the plants, scripted to sustain the diversification agenda of DIL.Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) and Standard Chartered Bank led the consortium of financial institutions in the fund syndication deal. Others are Access Bank, Zenith Bank, Ecobank Nigeria, Fidelity Bank, First Bank, Standard Bank of South Africa, United Bank for Africa, FirstRand Bank of South Africa, First City Monument Bank and Diamond Bank. The plants, which are expected to generate up to 9,500 direct and 25,000 indirect jobs, will reduce the nation’s fuel importation volume by 50 per cent and “effectively stop the importation of fertiliser.”President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, said at thesigning ceremony that “with a refining capacity of the proposed refinery, which is expected to reach 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day and producing a variety of refined fuel products from local crude resources, Nigeria will cut its current volumes of imported fuel products by a massive 50 per cent.”Dangote said: “The 2.8 million tonnes of urea will be channelled into growing the local agriculture sector, which is essential in producing healthy crops and promoting Nigeria and West Africa’s agricultural development. It was the desire of the conglomerate (DIL)to ensure that Nigeria changed her statusof a net importer of the petroleum product to that of a net exporter of the product by 2016.The President applauded Dangote Group’s refinery, petro-chemicals and fertiliser manufacturing complex in Nigeria while expressing Federal Government’s appreciation of the great support being given by Nigeria’s private sector to the implementation of his administration’s agenda for national transformation.“The petrochemical plant will produce polypropylene, which is a common component of most plastic and fabric products, for example it is usedin various forms of packaging, ropes and agro-sacks.“This plant will further entrenchAfrica’s role on the global map as not only a valued contributorfor natural resources, but also a competent manufacturer of refined products and fertiliser. As a result, several African nations will be less reliant on importing fuel and fertiliser from foreign markets, reducing the negative impact of negotiating terms within increasingly turbulent international markets.”Meanwhile, officials of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) led by its Vice Chairman, Comrade Issa Aremu, commended the decision by the Dangote Group for blazing the trail in re-industrialising Africa through an unprecedented $9 billion investment in oil refinery and petrochemical complex in Nigeria. The union leaders stated that the African organised labour and the members were excited and impressed over the bold corporate decision by the Dangote Group.Kudos to Africa’s Richest Man for making Nigeria a better economy and for ‘of course’ making himself richer.
